SPRINGFIELD (COLORADO)

Springfield is located in the southeast corner of the state. We are a farming and cattle ranching community with lots of sunshine, dry climate and we usually have mild winters. Summers are usually dry and hot.
The town of Springfield was originally organized by the Windsor Town Company in 1887 and was sais to have begun officially on April 12 of that year. At 2:00 P.M. on July 5, 1887, thje town of Springfield became a voting precinct and began procedures to apply to the Country Courts for incorporation as a town.

Springfield is a quiet farming town where you might find turkey buzzards roosting on the tower by the city hall, or a skunk living under your house. A person living here can look across the wide plains and almost see forever. You can look up and see the stars at night. You can see sunsets and a sunrises and sometimes a double rainbow because is so much sky.
